Section titled “Use Talk All”If your profile allows Talk All, the app has an All Users tab, and a search also finds users you have no key for. Their cards have a talk button only: hold it to talk to that user, and let go to stop. You can’t latch it and you can’t listen from it.
Which users appear depends on your profile: everyone, or only the members of some groups. Ask your administrator if the tab is missing.
Mute Your Microphone
Section titled “Mute Your Microphone”Tap the mic button at the top of the main screen to mute. While you’re muted, nobody hears you: not the users you talk to, not your party lines, and not anyone listening to you. Your keys stay as they are, so when you unmute, you are heard wherever you were talking before. Pressing a talk key while muted flashes the mic button as a reminder.
Tap it again to unmute. You can also mute and unmute from Companion, and your administrator can mute or unmute you from the management UI. It’s all one switch: whichever you use, every one of your devices shows the same state.
You can use livematrix on several devices at once, but only one of them holds your mic. The others only listen, and send no audio at all. If the mic button shows another device’s name, such as Desk, tap it to take the mic on this device. Taking the mic also unmutes it.
If the device holding your mic loses its connection, it keeps the mic for a short while (90 seconds by default) in case it comes straight back. After that the mic moves to another of your connected devices, muted: the one that held it most recently, or your only other device. A dropped device never leaves you talking unexpectedly on another one. Tap the mic button to unmute, and the mic opens on the device that held it most recently. If no other device can take the mic, unmuting shows a message instead.
