Section titled “Microphone”The mic button sits at the top of the main screen. It has three states:
| The button shows | What it means | Tap it to |

| A live microphone | This device holds your mic and you can be heard | Mute |
| A muted microphone | This device holds your mic, muted. Nobody hears you | Unmute |
| Another device’s name, such as Desk or Desk (offline) | Your mic is on another of your devices | Take the mic on this device, unmuted |
- Mute silences you everywhere: talk keys, party lines and anyone listening to you.
- Mute and unmute are shared by all your devices, Companion and the administrator. Muting on one shows as muted on all of them.
- If the device holding your mic disconnects for good, the mic moves to another of your devices, muted. Tap to unmute.
- Pressing a talk key while you’re muted flashes the mic button.
