Section titled “A Source Ducks Unexpectedly, or Never Does”Open Keys, select the user in the Users tab, and look at the mix inspector under their key state. For every source in their mix it shows the priority, the level, whether the source is live (speaking above the threshold right now) and the gain actually applied.
- A source that should duck others but never shows live is too quiet for the threshold, or its microphone is muted.
- A source that is live but ducks nothing has the same or a lower priority than what it should duck. Check both keys’ priorities and the listener’s own choices.
- If ducking is switched off in Settings, the inspector says so.
